Japanese Tofu
1 package firm tofu
1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
3 tablespoons soy sauce
drizzle of Asian sesame oil
dried seaweed
bonito flakes
Directions
1) Cook tofu in boiling water. Drain and cool. Slice tofu.
2) Pour soy sauce, sesame seed oil, and sesame seeds over the sliced tofu.
3) Add desired amount of dried seaweed and bonito flakes over tofu
4) Serve with steamed rice.

Comments: This something that my family makes at home. It's an easy tofu dish that's flavorful. Not sure how tasty it would be to someone who does not like tofu. I crave this dish about once every few months; so I suppose it's a kind of comfort food for me. You can find all of these ingredients at asian food stores or whole foods.
Sardines can also be a side dish in a meal of tofu and rice. So far my favorite sardine brand is Season Brand.

I've never had sardines, but another friend was recently talking about eating them on toast, and I'm intrigued. I'll let you know how it goes.
They're yum and good for you. I would recommend pairing with avocado :)
