Food: Honey Glazed Apple Pork

Honey Glazed Apple Pork

4 pork chops or pork loins
Salt
Black Ground Pepper
4 tablespoons brown sugar
4 tablespoons honey

Directions

1) Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Sprinkle chops with salt and pepper.
2) Coat large skillet with nonstick cooking spray. Heat skillet over medium heat. Cook pork until brown, turning once. Remove chops. Place chops in 9x13-inch baking dish.
3) Combine brown sugar and honey in small bowl. Microwave on HIGH (100%) for 20 seconds; stir to combine.
4) Spoon half of the honey mixture over tops of chops, spreading evenly.
5) Bake, uncovered, for 15 minutes.
6) Turn chops; spoon remaining honey mixture over chops, spreading evenly. Bake until internal temperature is 160 degrees F, 15 to 20 minutes. To serve, spoon pan drippings over chops.

Comments: I overcooked the pork again this time, even though the thermometer didn't get over 155 (although maybe I wasn't using the thermometer correctly). Otherwise the flavor was very good. Not really sure what to do about cooking my meat...may be just something that gets better with experience. Burned myself on the oven though when trying to spoon more honey mixture over the chops. Should always remember to pull out oven tray when adding more ingredients to the food.
